The sanitary napkin comprises a main body with a longitudinal axis; a first longitudinal side area and an opposite longitudinal side area. The first longitudinal side area and the opposite side area are located on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis. A central region is intermediate the first longitudinal side area and the opposite longitudinal side area and a preferential bending zone extends from the first longitudinal side area to the opposite longitudinal side area. The preferential bending zone has a first end located in the first longitudinal side area and a second end located in the opposite longitudinal side area. The preferential bending zone includes a segment crossing the longitudinal axis of the sanitary napkin. The segment crossing the longitudinal axis is oblique in relation to the longitudinal axis.
